MPT stands for Manpack Satcom Terminal. It works in Ku Band frequency spectrum. The Terminal is having < 1M Antenna reflector and 16 watt Block Up Converter (BUC). It is lightweight and rugged Man Portable System with Manual Assisted Satellite alignment capability. The Terminal requires no tools allowing them to be deployed by minimally trained personnel very fast. The Manpack Satcom Terminal can operate in Full Ku-Band frequency range on any transponder of INSAT/GSAT Series Satellite and provides Voice, Data & Video services.
