VSAT Monitoring System is a state-of-the-art solution to classify, intercept and process traffic from various types of VSAT networks which are using VSAT modems from iDirect, Hughes, Gilat, Comtech, Eastar Romantis, Viasat, Newtec and EMC/STM. Hughes HN/HX/Direcway networks are encrypted, and VMS is equipped with dedicated DES Decryptor unit to decrypt the intercepted content.

The system provides a snapshot of captured carriers and its payload type. The payload identification is very useful for agencies to choose the VSAT network for monitoring. The system is conceptualized such that it can be used for both search as well as content monitoring of VSATnetworks.

VMS provides Plain Voice and Data sessions including Webpages, E-mails, VoIP Calls, downloaded files (Video, Audio, doc, ppt, xls, pdf, jpeg, png etc) with session related information. Depending upon the VSAT network types, the system also provides geo-position ofVSATterminals.

Each VSAT network has unique characteristics, which may be due to customized modulation schemes, proprietary signalling for enhanced security and is generally unknown to the intelligence operatives. In such a scenario, customized software enabled demodulation schemes are created and integrated into the VSAT Monitoring System. Such multiple decoding platforms can be implemented on one VSAT monitoring system making it capable to handle multiple targeted networks.
